Have you ever picked up this book and wondered what it was all about?

Do you know who's smiling face this is?

Well, I am here to tell you that smiling face is none other than Kelly the Kitchen Kop. Kelly is very near and dear to my heart because she is one of the first food bloggers that I visited when I started reading about food online. I had been looking for information on raw milk and came across a link to a story she had done about why drinking raw milk is good for your health. She wrote with humor and love and I liked her right away!

At that point in my life I was just coming off being a raw vegan and slowly transitioning back to eating dairy products and cooked food due to some pretty significant health issues brought on by my restrictive diet. As many of you know, searching for healing through food has been part of my journey ever since I had Lymes Disease, and coming across Kelly’s site was the first step in me finally realizing that moderation was key to my path! The things that Kelly was speaking about seemed so strange to me at first glance, but as I let them sit with me and really felt them, they brought such tremendous relief and joy to my heart and my tastebuds.

You see, she was advocating FOR almost everything that I had been avoiding for years! Yes, real milk, real butter, real eggs, real bread, real food! The more I read, the more I felt I had found a piece to my health puzzle. Kelly’s articles were straight forward, filled with information and interactive. She was kind and generous with her time when someone asked her a question and she was always willing to go that extra mile to help someone learn about real food or solve a food issue or problem.

There is a lot to learn when it comes to real food, and the whole concept can be overwhelming. I have learned a lot over time and I have applied a lot of the teachings to my “moderate” life with great success! I know I advocate baby steps to health, but if you are interested in really learning about the whole realm of Real Food and how to implement changes and new food preparation techniques then I would highly recommend you sign up for Kelly’s Real Food for Rookies Online Cooking Class.
