Hey honey, you want to win something sweet?

Tropical Traditions Raw Canadian Honey

A number of years ago, as most of you know, I was a raw foodist and one of the things that I took with me from that experience was the use of raw honey. Honey is an amazing food, filled with nutrients and with many wonderful properties that makes it a great ingredient in cooking as well as in skin care.

Real true raw honey is never heated about 108 degrees F so it retains its natural enzymes and is still considered a raw or living food. Because it is not heated, pasturized and processed, the Tropical Traditions Honey comes to you in its natural state, which is a crystalline solid. While some folks are happy to pour liquid honey out of the head of a bear, I am always thrilled when I have to scoop it out of the jar with a spoon!

The Tropical Traditions Raw Honey is simply delicious. It is made from Canadian bee honey. The bees are allowed to forage on the wilderness frontiers of Canada and the honey is only harvested for a 6 week period during the summer. The honey is also certified organic and the bees are happy because they are not exposed to any pesticides or fertilizers which have been hurting honey bee populations that are not carefully tended.

I add a tablespoon of this awesome honey into my lemon tea if I want a soothing cup of warmth for an irritated throat. I also use it in my baking and on top of my oatmeal! It can be gently warmed if you need it to be a liquid, but most recipes work just fine with the solid honey and it is a whole lot less messy! I was so happy to get a chance to sample this honey. As I said, since I was a raw diet enthusiast I have tried many types of raw honey and this one is simply delicious and organic!

Tropical Traditions also sells organic extra virgin coconut oil and they asked me to pass along some information to you about that. You can check out many other tried and true coconut recipes on the coconut recipe blog!

I am also excited to let you know that if you choose to order from Tropical Traditions, and click on the referred by a friend tab when placing your order and you enter this number: 6427674 you will receive a free copy of the book Virgin Coconut Oil: How it has changed people’s lives and how it can change yours which is filled with useful information about virgin coconut oil.
