Food from your Hearth, Made for your Soul!

What’s the problem now? UGH!

Hi everyone! I wish I had some better news for you, but for some reason all my comments for the past year on this blog that I love so much and put so much time into and this blog that you liked enough to comment on, well, all those comments are gone! I am close to tears here. Not sure that it can be easily fixed and if it can’t then I guess I am just going to have to start from scratch and be happy that the blog posts are still all here. Hopefully you can now comment on this blog post and I would ask you PLEASE to leave me a comment if you can so I know this is working now.

It is times like this that I need a little comfort food and nothing helps more than someone cooking me a meal with love. My hubby and daughters are cooking me a nice juicy grassfed hamburger as we speak and that, topped with some lovely cabbage slaw and a big slice of extra sharp cheddar should get me in the right frame of mind to tackle this issue and put it into perspective.

I do have a bit of great news to share! Melynda of Mom’s Sunday Cafe will be joining us as a hop host, so please stop by her site and check out her amazing writing and let her share her love of food with you all!

So, you know the drill, please link up your lovely recipes made with all your heart and soul and foodie love. One link only and PLEASE read our Mission Statement and rules for linking if you have not already done so. Also, please note that it is very important that you link directly back to the blog host hop page where you linked up. The hearth and soul hop hub has been closed so please change that in your posts if you are still linking to that page.

Will post my recipe later in the week once I get this situation under control and share some of the lovely thoughts I had and thinks I did this weekend! Love you all, thanks for being so generous with your recipes and sharing your love with the hearth and soul hop and with me!

I am finally able to share my recipe for the week which is a super easy and amazingly healthy Turmeric Couscous!

I am sharing a homemade toothpaste recipe. Its as simple as it gets and actually is as smooth as toothpaste! More than likely you already have the ingredients that are required. I add a touch of mint extract for flavor.

Oh, I now use this toothpaste as my deodorant too! Its been working BETTER than store bought deodorant for over a month now.

That really stinks about the comments. I’m really lazy about backing up stuff. I set up something automatic, but I don’t check on it like I should.

I shared a very simple sandwich today. I’m looking forward to incorporating ingredients from the garden as stuff is ready. In the meantime, I’m using up what I have in the fridge!

Okay, PrimalToad, please don’t tell me you use the same container of substance in your armpit and your mouth. Ewwwww!

Today I linked up a family favorite chicken recipe that’s been used for over 30 years. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. It’s easy to make, and gives you a moist, tender chicken that’s falling off the bone.

Have a great day, and thanks for hosting, Alex. I’m sorry your comments were lost, but glad your posts were saved.

So sorry to hear about your comments and about your computer troubles! I’ve been there, I sure hope that it all gets sorted soon! I am sharing this very hands social- micro-payment system which is a really clever idea. Check out flattr. All you do is put say 2 Euros in the pot for the month, if you like a post you flattr it. Your money will be divided between all the posts you flattr. Simple and useful for food-loving bloggers.

A lot of blogs I visit are really slow to load because they have so many advertisements on their page. Usually I get impatient and go find something else to do instead of waiting. Check it out! The more, the merrier!

Sorry my no-grain spaghetti squash italian hot dish recipe got doubled — the first time I got a message that the photo was too big. I consider this a fast-food because it’s so easy and so good.

    Fantastic blog you have!!

This week I have a Jamie Oliver pasta dish with lots of herbs and tomatoes. And the way he makes the sauce is pretty clever!
